Wolves do not have very many natural enemies. Their main threat, besides humans, are bears and other wolves. Bears can sometimes kill wolves if the wolf is in the bear's territory, or home area. Other wolves can be a threat. Wolves must sometimes fight each other for territory and food. The animals that a wolf hunts can easily hurt the wolf by hitting the wolf with their antlers, or horns, and hooves.
Human Threats
Humans are the wolf's main threat. Humans will hunt wolves for their fur. A wolf's fur is very soft and warm and makes for a fine coat, but it is wrong. Wolves are killed for their pelt, or fut, and then the rest of their body is left to do nothing with. There are many groups that help save wolves. These places are called wolf sanctuaries or parks; wolves can live here in peace and not be hunted down by humans.
